- From Survival to Sisterhood
How one woman’s near-death experience became hope for hundreds
Founder’s Story
On January 9, 2020, founder Heneka Watkis-Porter survived an accidental overdose—a traumatic moment that birthed Grace to Grow. As she fought for her life, a divine vision emerged: a mentorship program for women society overlooks. Despite ongoing health battles, Heneka launched Cohort 1 in May 2022. Today, 100+ graduates across six cohorts prove that no past is too broken for transformation.

See what happens when women are given the tools to thrive
Overcoming Anxiety & Finding Purpose: I came to Grace to Grow hiding behind crippling self-doubt. Through the sisterhood and leadership training, I discovered my voice. Today, I run a small business teaching crafts to teen girls - something I never dreamed possible. The program didn't just change my career; it changed how I see myself.

Cohort 2
From Financial Crisis to Stability: As a single mom drowning in debt, I nearly lost hope. The financial workshops gave me practical tools, but it was the accountability from my mentor that changed everything. Six months after graduating, I paid off my first credit card. Now I help other women budget with confidence.

A Lifeline During Depression: I joined Grace to Grow at my lowest point - unemployed and barely getting out of bed. The daily devotionals and sisterhood gave me structure when I couldn't find my own strength. Today, I'm not just surviving; I'm mentoring others through their dark seasons.
